Does not lock, but is super fast, cool, and relaible, samsung drives are the best, I always hear of maxtor breaking, If you want a drive that locks from samsung, you might have to settle for a older model |

I actually got this drive to lock, but since I didn't give my e-mail it would not let me edit it. Anyway It was not locking because of a BIOS issue. Works Great on live, no problems when chip is disabled |

hey this is to the guy that wrote that it doesn't lock. i really hope you happen to check this...
got the same hd, won't lock. :( i see you said it wasn't locking because of a BIOS issue. can you point me in the right direction? and by a BIOS issue, do you mean the BIOS on your PC or your XBOX? I'm doing a softmod upgrade, have done it before w/ no problems. if you can please get back to me with some info. thanks. |

I had this drive for about a week, then it went bad. It worked great at first and it locked fine. Then it starting having trouble reading some files, so my xbox froze often. I received some error 7's which are HDD timeouts. My drive just may have been faulty, but it did lock for me. |
