Does this external HDD work for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 Slim? And also if it's compatible for both does it work out the gate meaning you don't have to install any hacks or special programs just to get it to work? |

Sorry. This entire site is for the Original Xbox. This is a 2TB Bare drive 3.5". If you install this drive into an external enclosure with USB 2.0 or 3.0 interface, it is probable that it will work with either Xbox 360 or Xbox One. |

I was able to install and lock this drive on a 1.6A motherboard, with Xectuer 2.6CE. However, the drive is extremely loud when Idle. I was able to fix this by enabling AAM (Automatic Acoustic Management) and setting it to 191. Any higher than 191 and it got loud as sin. Any lower, made no difference. This also lowers the performance by around 10% (negligible considering it is connected to a PATA interface). I was able to accomplish this with HD Tune Pro. |
