Installed this HDD in 3 different v1.6 Xboxs. All locked just fine and none of them got that hot from what I saw. Used with X3 CE and Xenium Gold. I highly recommend this HDD.

Update: As I reached somewhere around 250 GB on all of these hard drives I did run into issues that required xbpartitioner to change my F drive clusters from 16 bit to 32 bit. Since there's not a lot of info on how to run xbp here's a quick run through: Get xbpartitioner 1.1 from the usual places and place the entire folder (should contain 4 files) on your xbox's F drive. Using your dashboard's file explorer go to this folder and select “XBpartitioner.xbe” to run the program. Highlight the partition 6 (F drive) line and press A to cycle through the standard layouts of: F up to 137GB - no G, All F, F up to 137GB - remainder in G, &F:G 50:50. I used “All F”. Also be sure that it displays 32 bit. Here are a couple of notes as well: This program will erase all info on the F drive, be sure to save what you want before running. Since xbpartitioner won't format partitions unless you're trying to set them to a new size (partition size, as opposed to cluster size), select “All F” and change the GBs to, say, 100 GB and press start to begin the formatting. Then redo the process with the full F drive. Partition 6 is the only partition you will format, leave the others partitions alone. Xbp is compatible with X2 and X3 since they support custom partitions; I’m not sure about other bioses. Hope this helps.
