Maxtor 320 GB HDD - Bought on the grey market, not intendent to be for end users. Should be same as Maxtor 5A300J0 - official 300 GB variant of the device above (some people claim this device is not lockable) - maybe there are different Firmwares around? Mine works 100% |

Temprature is moderate - it's just 5400 rpm as you see. But it's horrible loud and data access is defnitly low. MP3 and watching movies is okay but other devices are much better.

I just bought 5 of these drives off of Ebay, and not one of them was lockable.
I have only tried the drives with the jumper set to master. Is it possible that the
jumper needs to be set to "cap limit" or "line select" for it to be lockable? |
