| This Drive I got from CompUSA for $99.00. It is probably the same drive as the ST3500630A with the "M" for MAXTOR, so look that drive up as well. It was a challenge locking as my computer did not permit but froze the drive. As I had a Krazyies Ndure softmod, I set up my drive to factory. I created a bootable floppy with XBoxHDM ISO that i had made witht he eeprom. I used another computer and did a unlockhd -a. It worked. I routinely get 9.80MB/s hardlined and 200K/s - 1.4MB/s wirelessly. The drive I think is overheated though and perhaps perminently warped. It slows down at times and it is annoying but overall performance is excellent. I use XBMC as my dashboard from an EvolutionX or UnleashX dashboard install. Not really noisy either. |
