Such ashame. Seems that in general people can NOT get Maxtor drives to lock. Only paid $30 for the drive at compusa (after rebates of course, you know how they work), but i suppose the Hitachi drive I have is going in, seeing as this site says it works, along with an ATA100 cable. |

Ya, i got that drive 3 weeks ago. I am so dissapointed about paying $110 for this drive and it does not lock. I am just going to have to deal with it for now. I wish they would put on the box if it is lockable or not. |

im new to xbox hard drive swapping.
why hasent this been tested with slayers autoinstaller.
i ordered a lockable one.
but overstock.com has "acidently" sent this one... twice
