I have three batches of these dirves, but I'm not going to wait for them to die on me before I update the firmware. I just sent Seagate an email with my model, serial, and firmware versions; now I wait for them to send me update instructions. When I updated the firmware on my 1.5TB dirves, I had to burn an ISO disc image (which Seagate provided) and boot up my Mac Pro with only the drive I wanted to update installed in the four drive bays. |
