| The 870 EVO locks and works well enough but has issues. After a few days, games started to take longer to load and I needed to clear the cache in the dashboard often but I never completely solved the problem. When I installed a new regular hard drive this issue did not develop, and it's ironic that games now load more quickly on a 7200 RPM HDD than the newest Samsung SATA SSD. I highly recommend using a regular drive over an SSD due to this and other problems like lack of TRIM and bit rot. It works with both the green RXD-629A7-7 adapter and red Startech adapter. You may need to install kernel font to fix bootup problems. |
